A Unique Experience: What to Expect at Certe Notte – Nature, Freedom, and Adventure
Bologna is a historic city filled with iconic landmarks, offering plenty of daytime activities and cozy restaurants on almost every corner. The city is particularly famous for having the world’s oldest university, founded in 1088, as well as its characteristic porticos, which stretch for an impressive 38 kilometers.
About 20 minutes’ drive from the city center, you’ll find Certe Notte, a naturist and swinger campsite where you can also rent cabins. We visited the campsite in June. The site offers a variety of activities, including a pool, nightclub, spa area, indoor and outdoor play areas, a small restaurant/buffet, foam parties, beach volleyball, and an outdoor fitness area. However, it’s important to understand that this is not a polished, luxury club environment. It’s more of a casual camping atmosphere, where freedom and play are valued higher than sophistication.
Registration: No pre-registration is required, but you must purchase a membership, which costs around 70 euros. After that, daily entrance fees range from 20 to 30 euros. Note that although the website mentions you need an ASX membership, this is simply the membership you can buy at the entrance.

Sex
Sex takes place throughout the day, with the most activity occurring in the afternoon and evening, both indoors and outdoors. There’s no need to worry about not having fun at Certe Notte, as there is space for all types of sexual preferences, including orgies, gloryholes, and gangbangs.
Bar
The bar offers a standard selection of spirits, as well as a variety of wines and sparkling wines. Prices are relatively affordable, with a glass of wine ranging between 3 and 10 euros, keeping in line with the overall low prices at Certe Notte.
Wellness
Certe Notte can be described as a large wellness resort, with a spacious outdoor pool, a huge hot tub, and a smaller pool that you can swim in both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there are plenty of steam and spa experiences available in a playful environment, as well as two massage chairs for free use. Unfortunately, the outdoor wellness area shows signs of wear and tear and could benefit from more maintenance. Several sections were closed or not functioning, which diminished the overall enjoyment of the experience.
Dance
Music plays both indoors and outdoors throughout the day, with foam parties adding to the fun. On Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, themed music days are held, with genres reflecting the chosen theme. The nightclub is open day and night and is centrally located near the spa and intimate areas.

The outdoor area is equipped with pavilions featuring large mattresses—some available for rent, others free for use. Free sex is permitted throughout the outdoor areas, and there is a large “play zone” where both couples and singles are welcome, with approximately 21 sex rooms. These include gloryholes, orgy/gangbang mattresses, and private rooms that can be locked.
Outdoor wellness facilities include a large cold-water pool with sun loungers around it, cold-water showers, and a wellness area with two cold baths and a large sauna. Next to the pool is a foam party area that operates intermittently. Throughout the outdoor area, there are sun loungers with parasols and cushions available. Unfortunately, the outdoor area suffers from a lack of maintenance, with some closed-off areas that were not in use. This detracts from the enjoyment, especially during the summer season, as it takes away from the professionalism one might expect.
The indoor wellness area is much more functional and well-maintained. There’s a 16-person heated spa with built-in loungers on one side, providing plenty of opportunity to retreat indoors for a relaxing wellness experience. There is also a heated pool with an option to swim outside. The indoor spa is accompanied by a smaller sauna, steam bath, and a larger shower area. In contrast to the outdoor areas, the indoor facilities feel much more polished and intimate.
Nightclub: Indoors, there’s a small nightclub with a bar and dance floor. The nightclub is centrally located near the spa and play areas.
Food and Drink: The campsite has a small bistro with a buffet, and the staff are friendly. However, the quality of the food was below expectations, particularly concerning the fat content and preparation of both the meat and vegetables. While it was inexpensive, like the rest of Certe Notte, there’s definitely room for improvement.
Accommodation: You can rent cabins of various sizes on the site. You can check the available options and extra services on the resort’s website under the “Book” tab.
Guests
We visited on a relaxed Sunday, so the guest demographic may differ compared to a busier Friday or Saturday evening. The age group was predominantly 40+, and most of the guests were Italian, which made communication in English somewhat challenging. Despite this, the atmosphere was friendly and laid-back. Although it’s a naturist environment, many female guests wore small bikini thongs and cover-up skirts, while many men opted for towels around their waists when walking around the grounds.
Service
The service at Certe Notte is minimal, and you’re largely left to your own devices. There’s no supervision in the separate play areas or elsewhere on the grounds. The language barrier made it difficult to communicate with the staff, so if you visit, you should be prepared to navigate things on your own. Additionally, there are no condoms or lubricants available in the play areas, so you’ll need to bring your own.
Other Notes: Upon arrival, you’re provided with two towels and a wristband with a key to a locker in the changing room, where you can store your valuables. It’s a good idea to bring a small bag for items like sunscreen, condoms, etc. For food and drink, you receive a payment card that you settle when leaving the site.
X-factor
What truly sets Certe Notte apart is its unique combination of natural beauty, playful freedom, and intimate settings. The resort offers an environment where guests can fully embrace both relaxation and adventure, whether it’s enjoying a peaceful moment by the lake in the sun-soaked solarium, or joining the vibrant energy of the foam parties and outdoor disco. The variety of themed oases, from the garden to the lakeside, provides private and exclusive spaces for those seeking a more intimate experience. This blend of open-air fun and secluded privacy, all set within a lively yet laid-back atmosphere, makes Certe Notte a destination that caters to a wide range of preferences, ensuring every guest feels at ease and engaged in their own personal adventure.

WHAT TO WEAR
– and where to wear it
At Certe Notte, the dress code is as flexible as the atmosphere itself. Being a naturist resort, many guests choose to embrace the freedom of minimal clothing or none at all, especially around the pool and wellness areas. However, it’s not uncommon to see women wearing small bikini thongs or cover-up skirts, while men often wrap a towel around their waist when moving around the grounds. Whether you prefer to be fully nude or slightly covered, the choice is yours, and the environment is always respectful and comfortable for all preferences.
